The last thing you need is to get blisters part way through a work day because your new shoes were not as broken in as you thought they were.
  • Cushioning. Repeated impact is one of the most common causes of foot injury. If you are walking or standing on pavement, cement, tile, or other hard surfaces, you are increasing your risk of foot injury. Because of this, a shoe with good cushioning is a must. This will reduce stress on your foot, reduce your chance of injury, and make your work day far more pleasant.
  • Weight. It is a commonly repeated adage that one pound on your foot equals five pounds on your back. The last thing you need is to exhaust yourself slogging heavy shoes. A lighter shoe will use far less energy over the course of the day, leaving you more energy to do the things you need to do.
